Discovery Administrative Support
This position offices in-person, on campus.
ROLE SUMMARY
Valor Christian Discovery seeks to provide opportunities for our students to actively serve and grow in their faith locally, nationally and internationally. The Discovery Administrative Support role is designed to support the mission and day-to-day functions of the department. This individual will be in close contact with students, parents, team leaders, and volunteers. The ideal candidate for this role has strong administrative skills, a heart for teenagers, and a desire to serve as the hands and feet of Christ. This person will work closely with the Discovery Coordinators as well as other departments to meet the vision of preparing tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ through service.

Provide Administrative and Team Support
- Provide team support regarding all matters, processes and initiatives
- Perform various administrative functions including providing excellent database management and digital media management, as well as completing a variety of organizational tasks
- Manage the approval process for student service hours utilizing existing software and systems
- Work with Discovery Coordinators to manage service hours, forms, deadlines and legal documents for team travel
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure experience leaders and volunteers are properly documented and trained
- Assist in managing volunteers to assist in event support and ongoing needs of the department
- Support the department with managing asset inventory and resources
- Broad support role throughout the department and for team leaders as needed

RESULTS
The excellent work of the Discovery Administrative Support role will have assisted in operating Discovery as a cohesive, well-supported unit by establishing strong administrative systems that ensured effective departmental function and alignment with school priorities. The position will have inspired and equipped students to serve, fostering meaningful spiritual growth and transformation through engagement in Discovery experiences. The role will have championed and advanced the vision of Discovery, strengthening its presence within Valor Christian while expanding opportunities that drove program development, innovation, and sustained long-term impact.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficiency in Google Workspace highly preferred
- Database experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.
POSITION TYPE: C: Year-round schedule. 12-Month Calendar. This position offices in-person, on campus.
HOURS PER WEEK: Part-Time (50%), Non-Exempt. Not to exceed 20 hours per week. (Advance approval required for any necessary overtime work)
SUPERVISOR: Director of Discovery Operations
PAY RANGE: $20-$22/Hour
START DATE: June 16, 2026
