What You Will Do:

The Starbucks Team Leader, under the supervision of the Starbucks Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Winchester Medical Center Starbucks workload and workflow for their work group during their shift hours. The Team Leader provides leadership to the workgroup on work assignments and acts as the "go-to" resource during the shift operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provides day-to-day oversight of the unit workload and workflow and serves as the "go-to" resource for employees. Communicates with employees to provide assignments and ensure assignments are complete. Provides input to the Supervisor, Manager, and/or Director for the performance appraisal and employee counseling processes. Provides orientation, training, and mentorship to newly hired employees. Provides training, cross-training, and mentorship to employees. Troubleshoots issues and provides resolution within scope of competency and training; Seeks direction from department leadership for situations outside of policy and procedure standards. Supports and encourages employees to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Supports and encourages a customer service environment that is friendly, positive, and efficient. Ensures unit compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as compliance with standards of operation and conduct. Maintains records and reports required to ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as compliance with standards of operation and conduct. Provides ideas and feedback to department leadership and contributes to unit process improvement.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High School Diploma or GED required*
* Or, one year of work experience with Valley Health

Experience
One year experience in the hospitality industry or related field required

Ability lead and mentor employees required
Ability to work with minimal supervision required
Ability to prioritize and organize workload to maximize time effectively required
Ability to maintain confidentiality required
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Strong teamwork skills required
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office Applications as well as intermediate computer skills required
