What You Will Do:

Coordinates, implements, and assists in all system-wide and specific facility Information System and Automation pharmaceutical services. Oversees automation activities within Valley Health; coordinates implementation of IS and Automation pharmaceutical program activities and maintains these systems. Evaluates how it impacts operations, budgeting for such systems, and quality assurance. Assists the Corporate Director of Pharmacy and other management staff in the administration, supervision, and consolidation of pharmacy services for Valley Health.

What You Will Bring:


Bachelors of Pharmacy or Pharm.D required
General PGY1 preferred
PGY2 in pharmacy administration or Information Systems preferred

Two years of related institutional practice required
Experience with EPIC, Pyxis, and Swisslog automation preferred

Certification & Licensures
Virginia pharmacist licensure or eligible for reciprocation required

Thorough knowledge of typical pharmacy operations, processes, and policies relevant to a hospital setting required
Understanding of quality control mechanisms and data collection required
Demonstrates strong communication, organizational and planning skills
Problem solver abilities and willingness to take ownership of the Valley Health Pharmacy Information and automation system required
Demonstrates competence and comfort with pharmacy IS and automation applications
Learns and/or understands pharmacy information systems, automation applications, standard report writing, and business software applications
