What You Will Do:

This position coordinates the BLS and ACLS training program for WMC, works with the local EMS units to coordinate their ACLS and clinical rotations, serves as training center facility, and is a liaison with the WMC nursing staff for clinical issues related to the above programs. This person oversees development and maintenance of the ACLS budget as well as the equipment for the classes. This position requires the RN to have understanding in evidence based practice, patient safety, and JCAHO standards, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of staff members with different levels of education.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required

Experience
Five years nursing experience as a Registered Nurse with three years education/instruction experience Background in cardiovascular nursing including Critical Care or Telemetry experience

Certification & Licensures
Based on primary state of residency and in accordance with current Virginia Board of Nursing Regulations, must be licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia with either a: Multi-state license, under the Nurse Licensure Compact OR Single-state license, valid in Virginia only American Heart Association BLS or ACLS instructor or obtain certification with next available class after beginning job

Qualifications
Basic computer skills in Microsoft programs Knowledge and skills to develop adult education programs. Knowledge regarding JCAHO regulatory requirements
