What You Will Do:

The Dispatcher will schedule and dispatch requests for emergency and non-emergency ambulance/wheelchair transportation using CAD system. Receives requests via telephone, fax and computer and enters all pertinent information into CAD. Assigns trips and monitors progress, communicates using two way radio, direct connect, pagers and telephone. Deploys resources throughout VA, WV and MD.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience
3 Years Preferred
Minimum of three years experience in health care scheduling or Emergency Medical Services dispatch preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred.

Certification & Licensures
Current or previous EMS state certification Must be able to apply critical thinking toward problem solving and conflict resolution. Must possess clerical and computer work processing and data entry skills. The ability to accurately type 30-35 wpm preferred.
