Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
The certification process must be completed within 90 days upon filing the application for certification with the Virginia Board of Nursing. Must be licensed as a Massage Therapist in VA.
Must be knowledgeable about providing services to male and female adults age 18 and over and children when teaching infant massage by assessing needs and accurately relating findings of assessment. Knowledgeable of the physical and developmental needs of persons throughout the age span and ability to apply this knowledge to the services provided. Ability to communicate with persons of varying educational, social, and economic levels regarding the benefits of massage therapy.
