What You Will Do:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling Surgical Services supplies. Directly communicates with OR Service Line Supervisors to order special supplies needed for individual surgical cases.
Responsibilities include:
Determines appropriate par levels for materials in conjunction with the appropriate clinical staff.
Monitors current available stock and processes orders for special supplies.
Monitors the status of supply areas to ensure that stock is kept at the designated level, properly rotated, and neatly arranged.
Works with receiving to ensure that supply deliveries are correct and provided in a timely manner.
Investigates and resolves delayed deliveries, backorders, stock-outs, and other discrepancies.
Recommends to Surgical Services Operations Manager any additions or deletions of supplies based on usage.
Directly communicates with OR Service Line Supervisors to determine implants needed for individual cases.
Processes special orders so that items are available prior to surgery.
Establishes constructive working relationships with specialty coordinators and physicians.
Participates in the development of new programs.
Maintains continuous & cooperative relationships with OR staff, vendors & physicians.
Communicates with OR Service Line Supervisors with any supply request.
Maintains Tissue Tracking data base.
Creates and maintains expired product data base.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High School Diploma or GED required
Previous OR Materials Management experience preferred


Certification & Licensures
Certification as Surgical Technician and/or Processing Technician preferred

Qualifications
Familiarity with various computer software packages such as Microsoft Office and serving software required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
