What You Will Do:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst supports the Valley Health Patient Financial Services (PFS) team in all matters related to the effective management and continuous improvement of the VHS revenue cycle, including projects assignments supporting VHS Patient Access (scheduling and registration), Patient Accounting teams, Managed Care Department, and other departments and matters affecting efficient revenue capture, collection, overall patient experience, as well as the development, implementation, maintenance, and delivery of PFS reports reporting packages within PFS and to PFS' customers, including, but not limited to, corporate, clinical, facility, and affiliate leadership, clinical departments and other revenue producing areas in a timely manner. Working closely and collaboratively with other corporate teams, including information systems, Epic Support, decision support and reimbursement, the Revenue Cycle Analysts will seek to enhance and maximize utilization of existing reporting tools and develop new reporting tools to aid the entire Valley Health System in recognizing and maximizing revenue and reimbursement opportunities. Candidates must possess the skill to produce analysis and reports in a professional, concise, intelligible, and intuitive manner, suitable for publication to large audiences with varying levels of financial understanding. The Revenue Cycle Analyst will report to the VP of Patient Financial Services and will work in close support of the PFS Directors of Patient Accounts, Patient Access, and Managed Care in day- to-day operations. Healthcare revenue cycle training is a part of the onboarding process with strong opportunities for advancement within Valley Health; but, candidates must bring a curiosity to learn, a desire to continuing growing, high energy, critical thinking skills, creativity, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and a Bachelors Degree in business, finance, or related field with course study in involving complex data analysis. Experience in healthcare revenue cycle a plus but not necessary. The position is ideal for a recent graduate looking to learn the healthcare finance and revenue cycle business and entry point on the management career ladder. Education
What You Will Bring:
Bachelors Degree required.
In lieu of a Bachelors Degree: Associates Degree with demonstrated course study in statistical and analytical subject matter and a minimum of five years directly related experience as a revenue cycle financial analyst or health care financial decision support analyst may be considered.
• Experience or course study in complex project management preferred • Working knowledge of computer systems • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access, required. Sequel experience preferred • Excellent communication, analytic and interpersonal skills required • Detail oriented and ability to solve problems under pressure required
