What You Will Do:
The Clinical Technician, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine personal care duties for patients including (but not limited to) starting IVs, drawing blood, inserting Foley catheters, assisting with patient mobility, and doing EKGs. Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems. Supports Winchester Medical Center's mission and vision. Once experienced, my act as a preceptor in the orientation of new Clinical Technician.
What You Will Bring:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience
One year of CNA experience preferred
Certification & Licensures
Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation
Qualifications
Understanding of basic principles of human growth and development required
Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on age of the patient served required
Reliable means of phone communication with hospital required
