What You Will Do:
We are looking for a professional who is experienced in healthcare internal audit and thrives on a fast-paced environment with complex work, while being committed to excellence in their profession.
You will be successful in this role by performing your duties honestly, confidentially and objectively. A deep understanding of healthcare and the laws that regulate its delivery is necessary.
The Senior Internal Auditor conducts audit projects that provide independent, objective assurance over the organization’s operations. This position assesses compliance with internal policies and procedures, legal and regulatory obligations, and industry best practices; identifies opportunities to improve risk management and increase efficiencies; and reduces the potential for non-compliance, fraud, waste, and abuse.
Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares working papers.
Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
Communicates or assists in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
Perform regular follow-up and review in accordance with Internal Audit procedures to ensure management action plans are completed within agreed upon timeframes. Ensure completed action plans are evidenced to support the completed status.
Develops and performs data analytics reviews and has experience with the following applications: EPIC, Lawson and Data Analytics and Continuous Monitoring Software Solutions (Alteryx or similar).
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
Minimum of five (5) years audit or related experience required. Two (2) years healthcare internal audit experience required.
Certification & Licensures
Current CPA, CIA or CISA preferred. Experience with data analytics, using ACL, IDEA, Alteryx required.
Computer proficiency required in Microsoft Office or its equivalent. Understanding and working knowledge of the healthcare industry required.
