What You Will Do:

Supervisor, Nurse Educators is responsible for leading the team of nurse educators and work with unit based CNLs to meet education needs of the units. Ensure that system based education for new products and protocols is developed and disseminated. Provide direction to the learning coordinator and the nursing onboarding specialist to ensure smooth onboarding and education process. Identify and develop new learning modules as needed in coordination with the educator group and CNLs. Develop and apply evidenced based nursing practice standards to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Oversees evidence-based, individualized, effective care to patients and families in an environment of clinical excellence. Oversees the development, planning, presentation and evaluation of educational activities within areas of expertise which fosters the development of competencies in the learner. Provides and supports Shared Governance and professional practice activities to achieve departmental and overall nursing organizational goals. Supports house wide professional practice education programs such as nursing assessment, preceptor classes, shared governance and professional practice ladder. Understands PI principles and oversees process improvement and risk management issues. Serves to enhance staff nurse retention by role modeling professional practice.

What You Will Bring:


Masters Nursing (MSN) required

Registered Nurse with five years clinical experience required

Certification & Licensures
ased on primary state of residency and in accordance with current Virginia Board of Nursing Regulations, must be licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia with either a: Multi-state license, under the Nurse Licensure Compact OR Single-state license, valid in Virginia only. Certification in specialty preferred
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Certification in specialty area preferred
