What You Will Do:
The Operations Manager will provide day to day administrative responsibilities for all pharmacy operations and will require outstanding interpersonal and administrative skills. Operations Manager will assist the Director to recruit and hire qualified, competent individuals, and assure training and orientation to provide for competent, skilled pharmacy operations. This individual will be charged with creating a culture that promotes outstanding patient satisfaction, employee engagement and quality. The Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of all supporting functions of the pharmacy business such as payroll, supply inventory and orders, records storage/management, policies and procedures, scheduling, and patient/customer satisfaction reporting. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the pharmacy business unit remains compliant with all regulatory requirements and payer contract requirements. Therefore, thorough knowledge of pharmacy claims processing, A/R analysis, cash posting, denials management and payer contract requirements is a must. The Operations Manager may be requested to provide services insuring uninterrupted flow of the pharmacy. Operations Manager will mentor and coach individuals to improve on and champion an environment where a positive patient experience is the primary goal of every aspect of care provision.
What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required (or) 10 years of experience pertaining to job description
Experience
Five years experience in pharmacy practice, clinic or ambulatory care office preferred
Two years supervisory or management experience in a healthcare related office or business office practice management required
Certification & Licensures
Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician Certification required or obtained within 9 months
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership, management, and dynamic interpersonal skills required to mentor, motivate and lead a high reliable team
Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of practice operations, reimbursement and budget/finance required
Demonstrated financial acumen and revenue cycle knowledge related to accounts receivable and billing of the business operations required
Comprehensive understanding of key business concepts including but not limited to strategic and operational planning, contract compliance and management, human resource management and process/performance improvement and design
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Ability to mentor staff members required
Ability to teach and demonstrate LEAN methodology required
