What You Will Do:

The phlebotomist obtains blood specimens in accordance with locally established guidelines; transport these specimens to the appropriate department for processing. Ensures that all aliquots are accurately labeled and properly sent to proper departments or reference laboratory. Exhibits a professional demeanor with patients, physicians and employees. Seeks assistance from senior lab technologists with testing problems.

What You Will Bring:

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
any chemistry or biology background is helpful

Experience
Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred

Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications
Demonstrates knowledge / competence in providing service to patients of all ages including: neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
