What You Will Do:
The Media Relations Coordinator is a public relations professional who advances Valley Health's image and reputation through strategic media outreach and response. The Coordinator identifies communication opportunities that showcase and differentiate our services, programs and people and recommends strategies, responses and tactics to secure coverage in traditional, digital and other media. In addition, the Coordinator contributes to an integrated, collaborative content team that develops creative and strategic content for use in internal publications, communications, marketing campaigns, collateral, websites, social media and other channels as identified. Demonstrated writing and editing skills required. The Coordinator must possess an eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities as opportunities are identified.
What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field required
Experience
2-3 years of media relations and/or content management, preferably in healthcare marketing and communications environment, required
Qualifications
Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills required
Ability to be creative required
Ability to generate ideas and materials which are effective in communicating ideas, concepts and services required
Ability to relate effectively to hospital publics required
