What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for training and support of Valley Health users on the EpicCare product and includes but is not limited to: training environment maintenance (trainers only), training material development, Epic user proficiency, workflow documentation and go live support. The Epic Training/Informatics Analyst will work with all Epic applications and will support all users. As part of the Epic Project Team, this individual will provide creative solutions to user requirements and problems. This position requires knowledge of workflows common in inpatient, ambulatory, and business office settings, in addition to advanced computer skills. This position requires the ability to interact with and make recommendations to clients, demonstrate critical thinking, and follow through when developing solutions to identified issues. On Call required.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Bachelor's Degree or BSN required for all new hires on or after 1/1/2017

Experience
Three years’ experience in an IT or healthcare role required Epic end user experience preferred

Certification & Licensures
Active state license for Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse must be maintained for all nurses in the role effective 02/01/2018 and any licensed nurses hired into the role effective 02/01/2018.
Epic certification in assigned module(s) or as specified by the applications required within 6 months of hire. Current Epic certification must be maintained for all essential certifications per Epic Corporation standards.

Qualifications
• Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and follow a project plan required • Ability to gain consensus and work with diverse end user communities • Exceptional verbal and written communication and follow-up skills required • Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced functions in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for health system EHR’s required • Healthcare operations background is desirable, such as billing, clinical care, scheduling, access services, health information management or other support functions. Epic end user experience is preferred • Solid knowledge of operational healthcare workflows is strongly preferred including clinical and business workflow analysis for development of electronic solutions with assigned applications • Experience in change management highly preferred • Ability to function productively as part of a team required • Ability to work well under tight deadlines while maintaining professional demeanor and conduct required • Flexible and adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities required • Effective 1/1/2017, ability to complete competencies, be certified in Epic application(s), receive a letter of recommendation from Epic leadership and advance to Epic Certified Training/Informatics Analyst within 2080 hours of employment at Valley Health
