What You Will Do:
Epic Technical Interface Analyst position focuses primarily on establishing communication and integration between the main electronic medical record and internal and external ancillary systems for Valley Health. Conducts and/or participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility and initial interface setup. The analyst works in conjunction with operational end users and vendors for detailed operational workflow analysis and designs interfaces to support clinical and business driven workflows. Required to work independently with vendors to gather technical specifications for interface build and maintain documentation of specifications and build. Responsible for implementation and ongoing support and testing of interfaces in conjunction with upgrades, changes to workflows and service updates. On Call required.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree required for all new hires on or after 1/1/2017
Four or more years’ experience with computer technology in a multi-platform environment, including analysis, design, programming, implementation, and working with end users to gather and interpret requirements required Experience in health care environment preferred
Certification & Licensures
Epic certification in assigned module(s) or as specified by the applications required within 6 months or hire. Current Epic certification must be maintained for all essential certifications per Epic Corporation standards. Ability to obtain Bridges Certification within 6 months of hire
• Expert-level skills on one or more technical platforms required • HL7, Interconnect, CCDA’s, XML, high level programming language required • Management of Interface Engine within 6 months of hire • Obtains Bridges Certification within 6 months of hire • Epic applications and systems experience preferred • IT related project and team management and computer skills (Microsoft Office) required • Strong verbal/written communication and follow up skills required. • Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and follow a project plan required • Extensive experience with logic code integrating multiple systems and building interfaces • Other preferred experience in many of the following: • Expertise in data management and solid platform skills required • In-depth knowledge of security requirements, web services, service-oriented architecture, design patterns, multi-threaded systems, and automated unit testing required • Technical knowledge of coordinating, configuring and building healthcare IT to drive quality improvement, meaningful use and safety goals required. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for health systems EHR’s required. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively for content build/project/upgrade as delegated by manager/director required.
