What You Will Do:
The Clinical Manager assists the Director with the clinical supervision and administrative duties in the Department. To assist in maintaining appropriate clinical standards and assure staff competencies throughout Inpatient Nursing Units. Assist Director with management and success of department. Reports action plans and outcomes to Director. Counsels staff, initiates corrective action as appropriate and keeps the Director informed. Responsible for completing performance appraisals on assigned staff. Collaborates with Director to interview and hire new staff. Coordinates performance improvement activities for the department.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelors Nursing (BSN) required *
* Current Clinical Managers who do not hold BSN must obtain by December 31, 2019.
5 Years Staff nurse experience with progressive clinical management skills required
Certification & Licensures
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in VA Required
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Supports staff and physician relationships, productivity and process improvement programs, and database management. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, including group facilitation. Demonstrate the ability to be creative, innovative, and flexible in responding to rapidly changing needs and priorities. Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development. Competent to provide assessment, care and treatment to patients served.
