What You Will Do:

The CDRC Technician role performs duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)/Provider. Appropriately performs technician procedures as denoted on the skills checklist and demonstrate initiative in maintaining competency in those procedures; such as but not limited to, Point of Care testing, phlebotomy, medication documentation, aerosol treatments, wound care. On a daily basis technician will room patients, perform and document vital signs, document current list of patient reported medications, maintain a clean and safe environment, stock supplies, maintain ongoing communication and prioritization of duties with the patient care team regarding observations and patient needs. Obtain accurate vital signs and document on patient chart. Notify RN/Provider of abnormal vital signs.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience
Previous experience in a related job field involving direct patient care as hospital nursing assistant or pre-hospital emergency care or hospital technician such as phlebotomist or RT tech, or recent completion of one year of nursing school including clinical rotations required

Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications
Ability to complete departmental orientation and skills checklist within one month of hire required - Understanding of basic principles of human growth and development required - Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served required
