What You Will Do:

The Certified Coder is responsible for reviewing patient notes and assigning the correct CPT and ICD-10 codes; Work well with the billing and follow-up team to resolve denied claims; Assist healthcare providers in identifying and resolving issues related to incomplete or missing documentation and provide site visits when additional support is needed; Responsible for maintaining certification requirements; Other duties as assigned and assist other staff with priority tasks when necessary.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High Schoold diploma required

Experience
Two (2) years experience in medical office/hospital setting required, with coding/billing experience preferred.
One year of ICD-10 and CPT coding experience required

Certification & Licensures
CPC (Certified Professional Coder) required.

Qualifications
Excellent communication and organization skills required
Capable of interacting with clinical professionals, patients, insurance representatives, and co-workers required
Ability to be flexible in working towards compromise in problematic situations required
Detail oriented individual with ability to maintain a high level of concentration required
