What You Will Do:

Nursing Excellence Program Manager oversees all aspects of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet application and Pathway to Excellence application and redesignation process, including: assessing gaps in criteria, coordinating RN Satisfaction Surveys and demographic data requirements for reporting of nursing staff credentials and education, use of relevant software or other required databases for reporting demographic data to ANCC, scripting the initial and redesignation application, verifying that all requirements are met, coordinating web-based updates, annual reports, and action plans regarding benchmarking quality/safety nursing -sensitive indicators, as well as disseminating this information to nursing staff at all levels. Ensures the essential domains of the Magnet and Pathway programs are enculturated into the organization, creates solutions, and motivates employee engagement in demonstrating the components of a Magnet and Pathways environment. Serves as hospital liaison to the ANCC, provides expert educational programs on Magnet and Pathways Recognition to nurses, nursing leaders, and inter-professional colleagues at all levels, and maintains a process to maintain Magnet and Pathway performance requirements in anticipation of future re-application for Magnet or Pathway status. Fosters excellence in nursing practice by working collaboratively with direct care providers, nursing leaders, and ancillary leadership colleagues across the organization. Facilitates a supportive environment for professionalism, excellence, collegiality, and continuous improvement in support the organization's mission and vision.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Masters Nursing (MSN) required

Experience
10 years Nursing/Healthcare Experience: RN license required
3 years previous experience developing and conducting educational programs.
Previous experience with the Magnet recognition program preferred.

Qualifications
Skill in planning, organizing, and creatively managing a program.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and developed people skills.
Basic computer skills (Word, Power Point, Excel), working knowledge of professional governance and Magnet/Pathway criteria. Knowledge, skills, and abilities related to: coordination, teaching, resource management, group dynamics, problem solving, performance improvement, inter-professional collaboration, compiling data, and benchmarking.
Knowledge of appropriate chain of command, strong interpersonal skills: personable, motivational, articulate, flexible, creative, responsible, decisive.
Skill in verbal and written communication, ability to exercise judgment, tact, and diplomacy, manage multiple activities, and prioritize simultaneously.
Ability to achieve results based on objectives.
