What You Will Do:

Sr. Analyst, Planning and Business Development works collaboratively with other department members and the BI team to manage the analytic needs supporting Planning’s portfolio of work which includes market research, market share and demographic reporting, business development and business planning, community health/ community benefit analysis and reporting, and certificate of public need analysis. Sr. Analyst will have responsibility for a variety of projects within the portfolio of work and will be responsible for managing and meeting all deadlines to assure advancement of Planning Department priorities. As mutually agreed by Planning and Business Analytics, Sr. Analyst will flex to support other analytics needs of the broader organization. The Sr. Analyst will be very comfortable working with numbers and large data sets across multiple platforms and databases, while also being comfortable analyzing the data to provide findings and recommendations. The position focuses on data mining/analysis, developing extracts from a variety of internal and external data repositories and developing and implementing reports and analysis through a variety of tools. S/he must be capable of using software programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau, and be able to master internal software programs. S/he may also have responsibility for maintaining one or more software applications or relationships with external vendors used in the planning and business development office. S/he will have responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of internal publications such as market share reports, service line growth composites, operating plans, etc.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Bachelors required with at least 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI), finance, decision support or data analysis.

Experience
Four or more years' related work experience with computer technology in a multi-platform environment.
Experience working with Tableau, database management tools, statistical reporting software, or decision support systems required.

Certification & Licensures
EPIC Clarity certification preferred
Microsoft BIDS certification preferred

Qualifications
Competency in managing multiple priorities, working with multiple stakeholders / customers, and meeting deadlines required
Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data; illustrate alternatives, draw conclusions and make recommendations to key stakeholders required
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization required
Demonstrated intermediate/advanced expertise in Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
SQL (Required)
Strong knowledge with SQL writing and understanding on RDBMS
BI/Visualization (Required)
Solid knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar analytics tool with the ability to develop & maintain effectively. Expertise in data storytelling and the delivery of practical data insights in a compelling manner articulating findings clearly and concisely in presentations, discussions and visualizations.
BI/Analysis (Required)
Demonstrated ability in creating technical solutions to solve complex business problems.
Business acumen to articulate and answer business questions backed by statistics to arrive at the right answer.

4 or more years of professional experience building reports, performing data analysis, and building interactive data visualizations and dashboards. ETL (Preferred)
Design, development, and deployment of data extracts, transformations, and loads. ETL development will utilize the Microsoft SQL platform, specifically SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Responsible for analyzing the business requirements for data file requests, designing, developing, and deploying fully automated ETL jobs to produce data files
Design, develop and deploy ETL programs to facilitate the receipt of data from various data sources, and the loading of data into destination tables within the overall data architecture framework.
Experience with data warehouses, and other data management components utilized to establish data assets for reporting, analytics, and other data integration services.
Troubleshoot issues related to package debugging, performance, configuration and migration
