What You Will Do:

The Systems Administrator, Clinical Documentation and Coding, understands the work flow and data flows of the system. This position has knowledge of the servers and devices that interconnect to make the system function as a whole. High level understanding of the ecosystem, the interoperability between upstream and downstream systems, file shares and data feeds, etc. Works with vendor to open trouble-tickets, escalate issues and/or obtain education or information on application functionality or configuration Works with IT, Coding, CDI, and other staff to help implement, troubleshoot, and test the application Serves as point of contact (POC) when a user reports a problem and is solely responsible for resolution Actively checks if upgrades to the application are available, including bug fixes or new functionality in the software Engages IT to coordinate upgrades on a periodic basis Coordinates between the vendor, IT, and the user community on upgrades to the application Builds relationships with Information Systems staff to increase knowledge of correct support people and skill sets Participates in IT Change Management discussions if there are scheduled changes to the system Works with IT Security to ensure the proper staff have the appropriate access and that the staff who no longer need access have their access properly removed Issues Request for Service (RFS) forms if there are modifications needed for integration with Epic Understands vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contract language (ie. contact information, hours, costs). Helps business unit to navigate the IS department processes (TCCB, Change Management, Request For Service and other fulfillment requests) Completes new user set up (provider, manager, coder, CDI personnel) in 3m products Applies application enhancements to the system (application upgrades, bug fixes or new functionality) Handles any EMR integration needs Adds new units or performs unit modification Maintains provider database for the 3M products Handles 3M password resets Builds work list/work flow as requested by HIM management Builds and produces reports as requested by HIM management. Runs existing and creates new ad hoc reports Responsible for table and template management Responsible for MS SQL server updates and patches required for 3M products Responsible for 3M Service Pack updates Responsible for 3M IMO changes Responsible for update testing (regression testing) Responsible for 3M CDM updates at end of year Monitors and evaluates interface (HL7) messages from 3M to Epic and troubleshoots as needed in Test and Production Ensures correct grouper versions (i.e. MS-DRG, APR-DRG) are loaded and launching appropriately for different payers Ensures CDI/Coder views are updated and documents file to appropriate folders in the WebCV configuration

What You Will Bring:

Education

Associates Healthcare Administration, Management, Finance or related field preferred
Associates Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
CCS credential preferred

Experience
3 years Computers/Information Technology - Systems Administrator preferred
3 years Healthcare/Medical - Health Information Systems/Technology/MIS preferred
3 years Healthcare/Medical - Medical Coder preferred
IT professional with experience supporting 3M systems or a Coding or CDI professional with a strong technical background

Certification & Licensures
Individual to obtain 3M System Administrator Certification within 6 months of employment

Qualifications
Experience with support systems and networking preferred
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written, required
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Report writing experience required (3M reports preferred)
