What You Will Do:

The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for daily processing and submission of medical claims. This will include comparing claim against medical charge sheet for correct ID numbers, correct physician code, service date, correct charges, and modifiers or other billing elements required by payer, processing and transmitting claims electronically to insurance payers daily. Follow up and research of all claims not processed and paid within 30 days, which will include checking payer websites, correspondence from payers, denial notices, or calling payers. Reviewing denials from insurance payers, determining if denial is appropriate or requires appeal process. Handle phone calls and walk-in patient inquiries related to outstanding account balances. Documentation of customer/staff activities are well documented. Processing patient payments received over the phone. Responsible for other duties as assigned and assist other staff with priority tasks when necessary.

What You Will Bring:


High School Diploma
•Prefer a high school graduate with education and experience in insurance billing

Experience in insurance billing with no less than one (1) year experience.

Prefer a high school graduate with a minimum of one year’s medical insurance billing experience.. Must have strong organizational skills and clerical and computer data entry skills. Must type at least 40 wpm and have strong skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation and mathematical calculations.
