What You Will Do:
Performs all mammographic examinations and quality assurance procedures in the Medical Imaging Department. Performs mammographic, radiographic, fluoroscopic and other procedures as qualified in the Medical Imaging Department. Team Leader that oversees the Mammography program and is in charge of the quality Assurance/ Control program mandated and/or guided by the FDA, VADOH and ACR.
1 Years as a staff technologist working in Women's Imaging and Mammography
Certification & Licensures
ARRT (R) Registered Technologist required
Mammography certification, as well as working knowledge of MQSA-ACR standards required
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Demonstrates high level knowledge in image quality and positioning. Competency in performing examinations and procedures on patients of all ages. Demonstrates good working knowledge of PACS, HIS, RIS, department protocols and VH policies. Demonstrates leadership and communication skills.
