What You Will Do:
Information Desk Assistant is a key role in the patient experience and must demonstrate excellence to all patient and customer upon arrival and telephone interactions. This position will include access in a timely manner, accurate information for patient appointments or services without interruption in their medical treatment and health care experiences; provide accurate and appropriate wayfinding assistance including wheelchair, escorts or courtesy van service; resolves problems with patient appointments or concerns by consulting with clinics/physicians and other health care team members for optimum care and timely service; providing timely customer service to include but not limited to newspapers, magazines, flowers, and patient mail; provide support and training for volunteers assigned to the team; demonstrates the ability to handle complex and/or difficult situations with compassion; pays attention to detail, prioritize work demands and has the ability to work quickly and accurately in a high foot-traffic environment; monitor lobby environment to anticipate public needs and proactively intervenes when guest exhibit anxiety/ stress /confusion; assist with other duties as needed.
What You Will Bring:
Education
Associates preferred may substitute 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience in customer service
Qualifications
• Customer Service experience preferred
• Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required
• Skills in medical terminology a plus
• Ability to prioritize work and work under stress required
• Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations required
• Interpersonal skills to work with diverse people within and outside organization required
