What You Will Do:
Administrative Secretary supports Executive Director’s work by scheduling Committee meetings, attending and taking notes at meetings and preparing minutes; maintaining the filing system of the organization; performing bookkeeping duties; makes bank deposits; prepare invoices, reports, financial statements and other documents, using Quickbooks; assists in preparation of annual budget; prepares financial documents for grant reports; perform general office duties such as ordering supplies; keyboarding and computer skills/knowledge; ability to use good judgment and critical thinking skills to prioritize multiple tasks and solve problems; files correspondence and other records; ascertains nature of organization; arranges travel schedules and reservations; filing and photocopying as required; assists with event planning; sends requests for marketing collateral and arranges for documents to be printed.
What You Will Bring:
Two years’ clerical office experience required
• Typing of 55 wpm required
• Computer word processing required, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to handle multiple priorities required
• Ability to interact with a wide diversity of people in a professional, friendly manner required
• Ability to present a professional image required
• Ability to handle information in a confidential manner critical
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting systems
• Knowledge of cost accounting and grant tracking preferred
