Security Patrol Officer/Graves - Full Time/Year Round - Breckenridge, CO
Description
The Breckenridge Resort Secuirty Officer is in charge of all Security and Fire situations within the Hospitality and Mounatin Divisions. This individual will perform guest and related employee services on a regular basis. Resort Security officers do regular secuirty patrol's of all properties within the Breckenridge Resort. Resort Security officers work closely with police and fire agencies during investigations and fire prevention drills and training. Additional responisbilities include (but are not limited to):
- Responds to all active fires and alarms in the Breckenridge Resort & Hospitality areas and assists the Red White & Blue Fire Protection District as needed to produce a successful outcome.
- Maintains a daily log of all activities throughout the shift.
- Responds to all emergency and security operations in the Breckenridge Resort & Hospitality areas and works with appropriate law enforcement agencies to resolve all problems correctly.
- Performs guest and employee services such as vehicle lockouts, opening doors, and guest assist rides when needed.
- Performs foot and vehicle patrols and skiing and mountain bike patrols through all Breckenridge hospitality and mountain division areas and reports on unsafe conditions, fire hazards, and security issues
- Conducts investigations concerning all vehicle accidents, guest injuries, thefts, suspicious incidents, Fraudulent pass use, employee misconduct, fires, medical emergencies, etc on Breckenridge Resort & Hospitality properties and prepares an incident report for each
- Coordinates efforts with outside agencies such as Breckenridge Police, Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Summit County Ambulance Service, Red White & Blue Fire Protection District, Breckenridge Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol
- Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of department vehicles, equipment and office space
- Works event security when needed and available

- Responds to medical calls on Breckenridge mountain and hospitality properties to assist Ski Patrol of Ambulance services as needed
- Maintains key and access control of One Ski Hill Place, Crystal Peak Lodge, Village at Breckenridge, Breckenridge Mountain Lodge, Mountain Administration Building and the Mountain road access gates
- Performs pedestrian and vehicle traffic control as needed throughout the resort and will be certified by the Colorado Department of Transportaion to do this trafffic direction
Requirements:
- CPR and AED certification (willing to certify once hired)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Hogh School diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Driver license
Clean driving and criminal history
Proficient with Microsoft Word and other basic computer program/functions
Medical, Fire and Security/Police experience preferred
Bilingual prefered but not required
Must be able to be outside in inclement weather for extended periods of time.
- Ability to respond to medical, fire, and security related issues in a calm and professional manner
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overnight shifts
- This position is for the Graves/Overnight shift only
Compensation: Starting at $13.10/hour
