In Room Dining Coordinator -Summer Seasonal - Full Time - The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a RockResort - Vail, CO

 

The coordinator acts as the relay point between IRD guests and the IRD Staff. They take and log all guest requests, relaying them immediately to the IRD Staff in person or by radio, and then notes when they are complete, following up on any delinquent requests. The coordinator also enters data into the PMS system, Open Table, GoConcierge and InfoGenesis. In addition, the coordinator acts as the In Room Dining Captain, taking orders and setting up trays to be served while maintaining standards. This role includes keeping the department organized and clean as well as stocking all necessary items. In addition the coordinator must have a strong grasp on all food and beverage menus. Knowledgeable about F&B Events, able to answer Operations questions, take reservations and direct guests to both restaurants.   Adherence to all Rock Resort Brand Standards and commitment to Great Amenity Execution for all guests. They are also responsible for collecting and tracking guest preferences and noting them in the reservation system. The coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the restaurant with all dinner reservations.

 

 

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Answer calls professionally within 3 rings, taking note of requests accurately and quickly, quoting a time of completion to the guest.
  • Relay requests to IRD Staff in a professional manner quickly.
  • Respond to guest requests needing immediate attention when no IRD is available.
  • Maintain an accurate coordinator’s log of requests, time of completion, who handled the request and noting anything that would need to be passed to the next shift.
  • Follow up to resolution all requests ensuring standards are met.
  • Make reservations in Open Table.
  • Maintain the In Room Dining department by stocking, cleaning, polishing, setting carts and maintaining accurate logs of delivery times for food and beverage orders and Tray Pickup. 
  • Have an excellent grasp of services, activities, menus, wine/alcohol inventories so questions can be answered quickly.  Commitment to great amenity execution and Adherence to all Rock Resort Brand Standards. 
  • Demonstrate an ability to operate seamlessly with all departments.
  • Format and print any correspondence for guests.
  • Input guest preferences and information, including issues and resolutions.

 

This position must maintain the utmost confidentiality and privacy for all guests. 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in hospitality field. -required
  • Previous experience in an upscale Food & Beverage hotel/resort. -preferred
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. -required
  • Point of Sales experience. -preferred
  • Must be able to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests and fellow employees. -required  
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence. -required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal. -required
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. -required
  • Must be able access all points of the resort. -required
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 6 hours a days. -required 
  • Must be able to work through September 30, 2014. -required
