Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that all Resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage dining experience possible while assisting in the creation of a profitable department that is environmentally responsible. Follows the brand standards from the beginning of the service cycle through the entire dining process. Exhibits strong menu and beverage/wine knowledge, is professional and gracious while enhancing the dining experience through outstanding service skills. .

Essential Job Functions:

• Offer the hotel guests the best possible service through courteous and proper phone answering procedures.
• Assist room service servers with proper tray set ups.
• Follow clean as you go and all safety policies.
• Be familiar with the room service menu and correct method of service.
• Be familiar with the room service use record.
• Be responsible for the room service checks that are issued to you.
• Maintain the room service area at all times making certain that all supplies necessary for performing your duties are readily available.
• Use proper telephone procedures at all times, and always be courteous to our guests.
• Take all room service orders as outlined in the service standards manual.
• Assist in basic tray set-up as outlined in the service standards manual.
• Stress the importance of accident prevention, safety awareness and specific work practices.
• Be knowledgeable of how to use the MICROS system to input orders and prepare guest checks.
• Follow correct procedures for taking guest orders, ringing all items ordered into MICROS.
• Report to work on time as scheduled in neat and complete uniform including name tag and basics card.
• Inform supervisor before leaving the work area for any reason.
• Attend pre-shift meetings.
• Understand empowerment principles and use them to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Responds to guest questions regarding hotel.
• Complete daily checklists.
• Attend Service Excellence within 60 days of employment.
• TIPS certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
• Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management that the associate is capable of performing.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English. -required
• 1 year guest service experience. -required
• F&B experience. -preferred
• Experience working in a hotel. -preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. -required
• Must be able to stand up to 8 hours at a time. -required
• Must be able to bend, crouch, crawl, climb and kneel. -required
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings. -required
• Able to work until September 13th, 2014. -preferred
• In-person interviews. -required

• Two satisfactory references. -required
• Spanish helpful. -preferred

Schedule: 5 days per week. Availability in mornings preferred.
