Compensation Analyst
Description
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the evaluation and maintenance of Vail Resorts Compensation programs, systems and yearly processes, including Base Wages, Incentive Programs, Annual Stock Grants, and Market Pricing. In addition to maintenance of Compensation programs (60%) and daily administrative tasks (20%), the remaining 20% of time will be spent on special projects as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Act as point person for All-Resort projects to ensure best compensation practices amongst varying resorts and to maintain internal equity amongst those resorts.
- Act as point person for best practices in regards to Affirmative Action reporting, FLSA Compliance, and other Compliance issues. Assists Corporate and Local HRs in attaining information for OFCCP audits as required.
- Assist in update and application of Compensation Policy and Procedure
- Participates in local and national salary surveys. Maintains archive of survey information.
- Oversight of PeopleSoft Job Codes and Salary Grades
- Evaluation and upkeep of Success Factors
- Yearly Compensation processes including:
- The analysis of Annual Merit Increases
- The analysis of all requests for Market Adjustments
- The review of the Bonus Incentive Programs
- Management of changes to the compensation structure
- Assists in M&A/Transition activity
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 to 5 years experience in either Human Resources, Compensation, Finance or Resort Business Administration
- Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Excel (Access experience a plus)
- Advanced analytics aptitude
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Superior communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
Preferred Skills:
- PeopleSoft HRMS (or other HRMS) highly preferred
- Ski Area, Lodging and Hospitality, Construction and Development or Retail operations experience preferred
- Project Management experience preferred
- Degree with emphasis in Human Resources or Compensation preferred
