Job Summary: The Electronics Technician: Snowmaking is a great position for someone with an electrical/electronics background. In this role, you would be responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and components within the Snowmaking department. Applicants should have advanced knowledge of electrical and/or snowmaking equipment in order to determine equipment malfunctions and should demonstrate application of those skills in restoring equipment to operation. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for installing, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing fan guns, compressors, motors, pumps and other related equipment. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing oil, lubricating bearings, replacing oil seals, gaskets, springs, gears and other electrical maintenance work.
  • Provides control and accountability for appropriate inventories of spare parts and supplies.
  • Works as part of the snowmaking team to ensure optimal product, production and execution of various tasks. 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Knowledgeable on electronic drive systems and controls
  • Knowledge of three-phase 480v electrical
  • Knowledge of PLC's and low-voltage communications
  • Must be able to ski/ride at an advanced/expert level.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Intermediate or better skill/knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must have valid US Drivers License and a clean driving record in accordance with VR Standards
  • 5 Years previous experience in the electronics/electrical field
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, write and communicate clearly in English
  • Must be able to work outside in varying, winter weather conditions
  • Must have the ability to work nights and weekends
  • Must have the ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy loads- up to 100 lbs.
