The 10th on Vail Mountain is seeking an individual who possess basic dishwashing and ware washing skills with a sense of urgency. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Vail Mountain Dining, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them. Responsible for cleanliness and ownership of the dish area, pot sink area and associated area.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of dish room area, pot sinks, front and back line kitchens, pastry kitchen, loading dock and employee bathrooms.
- Have the ability to work at a very quick pace in a humid environment.
- Ensures the kitchen line and restaurant floor have the right amount of pots, pans, utensils, china, glass ware and silver ware at all times during business operation hours.
- Demonstrate ability to set up a 3 compartment sink.
- Stocks and maintain all the janitorial storages supplies.
- Ensures all hand wash stations in the kitchen and bathrooms are stocked with towels, hand wash soap and sanitizer.
- 100 % compliance of using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Assists in garbage removal from the kitchen and breaking down of food storage bins.
- Sweeps, Brushes and mops floor at all times.
- Clean out the dish machine regularly during service and de lime the machine frequently.
- Occasional cleaning on employee bathrooms.
- Attend all trainings and classes as assigned or advised by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or Senior Management
Qualifications:
- General awareness of working in a fast paced professional kitchen environment - required.
- Must possess the following key essential qualities - Adaptability, Flexibility, Positive attitude, even temperament and a keen eye for detail.
- Must be able to lift 40+Lbs - required.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English - required.
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours - required.
- Flexibility in scheduling, ability to work weekends and holidays including - required.
- Previous dishwashing experience in a fast paced kitchen and hotels - preferred.
