Description

Entry level payroll position.  Customer service skills are essential to this position.  First point of contact for payroll and time & labor questions.  Responsible for answering payroll team phone and email.  Logs and monitors payroll customer service inquiries and issues.  Perform various administrative duties for the payroll team.  Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Works closely with Human Resources, Benefits, Managers and Employees to answer questions and resolve issues - the first point of contact.  Customer service skills essential.
  • Answer payroll team phone and respond to or direct calls as appropriate
  • Monitor and respond to or redirect payroll team email as appropriate
  • Log payroll inquires and issues in Payroll Customer Service database
  • Assist with team communication
  • Manage bi-weekly report distribution to external customers
  • Assist with printing, packaging and distribution of checks/advices
  • Assist with payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
  • Completes Verification of Employment requests.
  • Receives and sorts incoming mail
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Detail oriented with Strong analytical ability
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Acces a plus
