Server Black Bear Grill - Summer Seasonal/Part Time - Keystone, CO
Description
Ideally located within The Inn at Keystone and just minutes from some of the best skiing and mountain biking in the country, Black Bear Grill offers breakfast, lunch and dinner to our guests. This restaurant serves up a variety of entrees, sandwiches, soups and flat bread pizzas, along with draft beers, specialty martinis and hand-picked wines.
In this position you would be responsible for ensuring that all resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage dining experience possible while assisting in the creation of a profitable department that is environmentally responsible. This position follows the brand standards from the beginning of the service cycle through the entire dining process and exhibits strong menu and beverage/wine knowledge and is professional and gracious while enhancing the dining experience through outstanding service skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for knowing all table numbers and point seats for proper ringing in of orders
Handles all opening and closing duties required to operate the restaurant and ensures that all stocking is done, tables are properly set and the dining room is clean
Understanding and effectively executing banquet set ups, events and services according to standards
Consistently follows the steps of the service cycle as outlined in the brand standards and ensures the timing and flow of service is correctly paced
Communicates all necessary and important information with the Food and Beverage team
Capable of multi-tasking and working at a fast but thorough pace
Complete all sidework that has been assigned
Attends the daily pre-shift huddle to learn any important daily information
Adheres to the uniform standards and is productive and professional during entire shift
Knowledgeable with wine and liquor and adheres to all state liquor laws
Ensures that all state health regulations are being adhered to
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of serving experience
- Flexible scheduling including mornings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work early morning breakfast shifts
- Current TIPS certification or equivalent preferred
- Must have transportation to and from the restaurant (we operate outside of the bus route hours)
- Must be able to consistantly lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays full of dishes
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hour shifts
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- High School degree or GED
- Positive attitude and professional appearance is a must
