Marketing Specialist - Full Time, Year Round - Beaver Creek, CO

The drama of rock and sky, the sheer grandeur of this place, is one reason. That it is North America's World Cup mountain is another. It is also a place of intimacy. A private resort hidden from view, with the power to bring people together.
The purpose of this position is to provide marketing leadership in several key business areas. Primary responsibilities include in-resort brand marketing, social media management and event marketing liaison with the Beaver Creek Resort Co. The person in the role will be responsible for delivering the consistent Beaver Creek brand message to guests in resort as well as engaging our guests pre and post visit via social media channels.
Resort Marketing :
- Lead development of summer and winter resort collateral development and execution. This to include all LOB’s and BC Golf and RSR Golf.
- Ownership of the in-resort digital information system “Prance”.
- In-resort branding inclusive of on-mountain, village, F&B, SS and hospitality zones.
- Content planning and management of BC TV8 programming
- Weekly production and dissemination of “This Week at Beaver Creek”
Digital and Social Media Support:
- Drive snow messaging calendar, content and execution in conjunction with PR team.
- Manage brand social conversations on facebook and twitter.
- Incorporate guest service feedback into social platforms.
- Support digital manager with website content updates
Event Marketing Liaison:
- Responsible for partnering with Beaver Creek Resort Co. for planning of summer and winter events.
- Engaging Strategic Alliance account managers in BC event planning and budget allocation.
- Reviewing event performance and post analysis to determine which events to continue or to evolve on the BC event calendar.
- Providing thought leadership on creation of new signature events to drive brand image and visitation in need periods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - required
- Two years relevant work experience - required
- Past marketing, advertising, event or PR experience - required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - required
- Comfortable giving presentations to diverse audiences - required
- Strong powerpoint and excel capability - required
- Demonstrates a passion for the ski and travel industry, and a desire to provide our guests with best user experience - required
- Knowledge of Beaver Creek and/or the Vail Valley - strongly preferred
