Public Safety Lead - Bachelor Gulch - Full Time, Year Round - Beaver Creek, CO
Shift Lead: supervise the day to day operations within Bachelor Gulch as well as expedient and efficient completion of daily tasks. Participate with the Director and Supervisor to implement and amend standard operating guidelines as necessary, including training.
- Position is acting shift lead, performing the functions of the Public Safety Officers including responding to incidents, alarms and working at the gate. This requires mobility to stand and sit at the gate, drive company vehicles in both day and night during all weather conditions and to work both in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Implement and maintain department training programs, Keep accurate records of required and completed training of staff.
- Ensure proper documentation of all incidents using standard VR systems.
- Ensure proper and safe handling of BGPS vehicles in accordance with Company standards and policies. This includes visibly checking the condition of the vehicle and performing routine checks such as oil, tire pressure, etc.
- Provide proactive, positive department leadership with departmental performance and employees as the key to success. May assist in the hiring of staff, provide input onperformance reviews, discipline and coaching.
- Work closely with the staff and the supervisor to insure the timely reporting of events and incidents to the BGPS Management Team and other VR entities as necessary inlcuding Health & Safety.
Please note that by accepting the position, the hours and days of the shift will not change in the event of other department shift openings, unless it is for an open Shift Lead position.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent - required
- Previous experience working with Bachelor Gulch Public Safety - strongly preferred
- Able to read, write and speak English - required
- Prior supervisory experience - strongly preferred
- Valid US Driver's License - required
- Experience using Microsoft Office - required
- Colorado EMT or Basic First Responder Certification - preferred
