Job Summary:  Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Maintains knowledge of and identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

• Implements human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.

• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
• Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. .
• Collaborate with HR Director on internal issues
• Assist the HR team in staffing functions, benefits matters, and internal concerns
• Provide support for training and seminar functions as necessary
• Facilitate orientation and management development training, as needed

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of HR Generalist experience 
• Proficient in MS Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint 
• Communicate fluently in English 
• Experience speaking publicly and facilitating trainings and seminars in a well-versed manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of CA labor laws 
• Bachelors degree 

Preferred Skills:

• 1 year supervisory experience
• PHR or SPHR certification
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft HRIS/Payroll software
• Retail and/or resort experience
