Job Summary: Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintains knowledge of and identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Implements human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. .
- Collaborate with HR Director on internal issues
- Assist the HR team in staffing functions, benefits matters, and internal concerns
- Provide support for training and seminar functions as necessary
- Facilitate orientation and management development training, as needed
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of HR Generalist experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Communicate fluently in English
- Experience speaking publicly and facilitating trainings and seminars in a well-versed manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of CA labor laws
- Bachelors degree
Preferred Skills:
- 1 year supervisory experience
- PHR or SPHR certification
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft HRIS/Payroll software
- Retail and/or resort experience
