Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a knowledgeable professional to join USANA’s ethics and education team as an Ethics Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation and administration of USANA’s associate ethics program in the Philippines. The Manager will work with the Regional Manager to set the market’s strategic direction, and directly manage the implementation of that strategy with each Ethics Specialist/Officer.  The Manager is responsible for actively building and maintaining positive relationships with internal departments and independent associates in the Philippines.
 
What You Will Do as USANA’s Ethics Manager
Essential
  • Follow the Standard Operating Procedures to complete investigations by looking into possible major policy and/or procedure violations by higher level Associates.
  • Compile case summaries to be submitted to the Ethics Committee for major policy violations.
  • Review and approve written communications of Ethics Specialists.
  • Liaise with Sales Development and the management team to understand market trends and needs.
  • Monitor internet websites for illegitimate sales of USANA products, illegal advertising practices, and fraudulent account orders.
  • Recommend to management appropriate fines, penalties, sanctions, holds, or cancellations of associate accounts based on policy violations.
  • Work closely with Ethics Audit to complete rank advancement audits, retail sales audits, and online sales audits.
  • Field phone call inquiries from associates regarding policy or related questions.
  • Complete ad hoc audit reports using internal business systems (i.e. Micro Strategies, Odyssey, etc.).
  • Implement internal training according to the education plan set forth by the Director of Ethics & Education, Asia Pacific, including Customer Service Representatives and other departments.
  • Implement external training according to the education plan set forth by the Director of Ethics & Education, Asia Pacific, including training at USANA events, webinars, social media, etc.
  • Review submitted associate advertising proposals of Ethics Officers/Specialists.
  • Coach/mentor direct reports to mitigate investigation errors ensuring staff competency in all aspects of the investigation;
  • Report on team weekly activity and significant cases to ensure the Regional Manager is fully aware of the status of the Department at all times.
  • Keep each market’s GM/Sales team informed as to the status and direction of associate compliance issues, including ensuring transparency regarding casework and Ethics’ initiatives.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing and schedule of leaves.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports.
  • Plan for career development of direct reports, including succession planning.
  • Documenting any performance or disciplinary actions if needed for direct reports.
  • Monitor local laws/regulations that may affect USANA’s business and inform Regional Manager.
  • Work with Regional Manager on strategic projects as assigned.
Additional
  • Set up case files using i-Sight or other database software; monitor case files and compile all relevant data and evidence for investigations.
  • Review and approve associate account transfers, successions, placement and volume changes.
  • Stay abreast of changing laws in each market, and provide recommendations for enhancements to the Associate Agreement and Policies and Procedures.
  • Prepare communications to associates regarding policy violation investigations and actions being taken.
  • Understand and adhere to all GMP policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Background and Skills You Will Need
  • Must have a minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
  • MLM sales compliance experience highly preferred.
  • Legal research and writing experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience using i-Sight, Micro Strategies, or Odyssey will be helpful.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to problem solve using creative solutions.
  • Strong relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Exhibits strategic thinking and creativity in addressing current and future challenges in alignment with USANA’s long-term goals.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to comprehend and interpret the Policies and apply it to a wide variety of situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently or in a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
