Senior Finance Analyst
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual and good interpersonal skills to join our team as a senior finance analyst in USANA's Malaysia office. In this role, you will be responsible to conduct meticulous regional financial analyses to evaluate market and product profitability. You will also present critical analyses to the executive team up to the CFO level for financial approval, facilitating effective decision-making and contributing to the achievement of the company's financial objectives. Additionally, it will be imperative to ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within essential systems, thereby contributing to the overall integrity of financial records.
What You Will Do As A USANA Senior Finance Analyst:
- Perform regional financial analyses on market and product profitability entail understanding major line items on a market's income statement including budgeting and planning, variations between actual results and projections, pricing margins, changes to pricing margins, new product pricing, price changes, and the impact of promotions
- Develop high-quality presentation materials on financial analyses and deliver them orally and/or in written form for approval by executives up to the level of CFO, which primarily focus on product pricing and margin, while also encompassing periodic budget adjustments
- Collaborate with various departments to offer financial guidance, address inquiries, and ensure the fulfillment of financial objectives
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Data entry within key systems largely involves the setup of product part numbers and pricing and may also include periodic budget adjustments
- Expected to build a comprehensive understanding of the systems, tools, and models in the department, which can include:
- Oracle ERP and Agile PLM
- Pricing Model, Quarter and Annual Pricing Margin Analysis Tools
- Promotions Evaluations Tool
- Oracle SQL Developer/MicroStrategy
- Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Excel
- Odyssey
- Hyperion
- Market Profitability Statements
- Perform daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual tasks with an analytical mindset
- Present quarterly financial results and ad hoc analyses to stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Develop an understanding of core financial competencies, including but not limited to:
- Pricing formula and international costs
- Promotional activity effectiveness
- Market performance and profitability
Additional
- Provide professional support to the markets, including the efforts to train, educate and guide as appropriate, in addition to providing analytical expertise.
- Ability to participate in regular telephonic or web-based meetings.
- Analytical in supporting the efficient and accurate review of financial information.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Perform other duties or ad hoc projects as assigned or needed.
Background and Skills You Will Need
- Associate degree required with commencement of a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience in finance or accounting.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to communicate professionally with upper management and employees at all levels.
- Ability and willingness for self-teaching.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English. Working knowledge of other Asian languages will be advantageous.
- Ability to take initiative independently at work.
- Strong sense of self-discipline.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently perform all essential job duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision and without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
Position is located in Malaysia.
