The Position:
Uplight is creating a new category of energy. We make software that manages energy resources in homes and businesses—including things like smart thermostats, electric vehicles, solar panels, storage batteries, heat pumps, and even people’s behavior—to generate, shift, or save energy to balance the grid, making it more efficient and reliable. This creates clean energy capacity that can be used by the power grid instead of burning more fossil fuels. Our solutions accelerate the transition to clean energy and save money for energy customers.
We are looking for a Senior Financial Revenue Analyst to drive our company forward, and help us lead the clean energy revolution!
How you will make an impact:
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including revenue modeling for multiple lines of business used for strategic planning by our management and board
- Partner with Business Organizations across Uplight (Sales, Operations, Accounting, etc) to strategize our pipeline analysis and forecasting
- Calculate & analyze revenue metrics across multiple views—including Net Revenue Retention, Churn, and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)—to support financial planning and strategic insight
- Analyze revenue actual-to-forecast trends and variances on a monthly basis to support strategic decision-making
- Partner with the Revenue Accounting team to identify and drive revenue optimization opportunities and projects
- Contribute to continuous process improvements for financial reporting and data automation
- As part of the Finance team, assist with ad hoc financial analysis in other areas of the business
- Supplement our pricing and margin modeling support for new customer contracts, including scenario modeling as needed.
What you bring to Uplight:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, revenue analysis, or a related function— experience with SaaS/recurring revenue preferred
- Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to transfer analysis into actionable insights
- Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling principles
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to details
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Salesforce

- Experience with variable consumption revenue models
- Familiarity with ASC606 Revenue Guidelines

Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000
