Job Description
Opportunity Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with an overall experience of 4-7 years to join Upland India as a Senior Software Engineer 1(FrontEnd) for our Upland Secondstreet product. The individual will work with our Frontend team with exposure to backend as well.
What would you do?
- Develop, test and maintain Ember.js Front-End
- Write testable, maintainable code for product.
- Involve in code reviews for other developers.
- Collaborating with other developers and team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience and support analytical products
- Troubleshoot and diagnose production issues.
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices.
- Jump in and help the team deliver features when it is required
- Balance technical debt vs. feature development vs. supporting customers.
What are we looking for?
Technical Skills
The following skills are needed for this role.
Experience:
Experience:
- 4 – 7 years in any Front end framework (Angular/React/Ember.js) preferable Ember.js
- Willing to learn and work inEmber.js
Primary Skills: The candidate must possess the following primary skills:
- Javascript/Typescript, CSS, SASS, SCSS
- Frontend design patterns
- Comfortable writing automated tests alongside features and bug fixes
- Knowledge of Git, Github, Bitbucket, Jenkins etc.
Secondary Skills:
It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:
- RESTful JSON API
- SQL Server Databases Skill
- Node.js, TypeScript, and ES2020
- Experience with agile methodologies, especially Kanban
Soft Skills:
- Thrives collaborating in a team environment with a diverse range of people
- Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills
- Proven leadership in a remote / hybrid work environment
- Passionate about delivering an amazing customer experience
- Able to have a change of mind, and able to change the minds of others

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
