Job Description
Opportunity Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst for our Business Systems team to work on Salesforce and multiple systems integrated with it.
Systems Analyst responsibilities include engaging with Stakeholders, researching solutions and POCs, business requirements gathering and documentation, working with the technical and development teams to design and implement solutions, coordinating development, testing, deployment, and training, and recommending system enhancements.
The Systems Analyst plays an important role in our Business Systems team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to end coordination of assigned customizations, integrations, bug fixes, and updates, and their deployments to Salesforce and other business systems. 
What would you do?

  • Work in multiple business system environments and applications
  • Support Project Managers/ Business Analysts as needed 
  • Engage with stakeholders to document business requirements and functional specifications, and translate them into workable solutions   
  • Work closely with technical/ development teams to design, build, and deliver solutions 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Stakeholders and Business Owners for all assigned projects 
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to our Salesforce system and its integrations that will benefit business users and the Business Systems team 
  • Coordinate and participate in third-party application integrations 
  • Coordinate and/ or perform system testing and QA/ UAT 
  • Provide training sessions and documentation to users as needed 
  • Facilitate troubleshooting and support of assigned issues/ change requests for multiple applications, and drive them to resolution 
 
 
 
 
What are we looking for?

Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience as an Administrator
  • Certified Salesforce System Administrator certification
  • Business degree is strongly desired
  • Proven Systems Analyst work experience including writing clear, concise, and comprehensive requirements documents
  • Strong experience working with multiple business groups on multiple projects concurrently  
  • Strong experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Strong experience with Full Life-Cycle implementations
  • Experience in prioritizing projects and pivot as needed
  • Excellent communication skills working diplomatically with all levels of our organization from peers to C-Level executives
  • Business process understanding of the following is strongly desired:  
    • Sales Operations
    • Marketing Operations
    • Professional Services Operations
    • Customer Success Operations
    • Salesforce CPQ experience
    • Salesforce B2BCommerce
  • Experience with NetSuite is desired.
  • Self-starter, research-oriented, and process-minded; enjoys taking on and understanding challenging problems, drawing out process flows, documenting requirements, and managing assigned projects from end-to-end
Experience:
  • 5-7 years in a business/technology role
  • 3-5 years in business system (enterprise application) administration
  • 3-5 years in business systems analysis
 
Primary Skills: The candidate must possess the following primary skills:
  • Salesforce administration
  • Documenting clear, concise and comprehensive business requirements and process flows
  • Self-starter and research-oriented
Secondary Skills: It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:
  • Agile/SCRUM processes
  • Business process understanding (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Operations)
  • Experience with NetSuite
Soft Skills:

Strong writing and verbal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a fully remote team without the need for a physical office.  The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment with a diverse range of people and is passionate about delivering an amazing customer experience
Growth Skills:

The candidate should have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter with a desire to grow, and consistently seek better ways to accomplish tasks.

Qualification

A business degree (or similar degree) is strongly preferred. 
This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting. 
Upland India has some flexibility to manage your working hours accordingly to help in your work-life balance. We require the candidate to be online and available at a minimum between 9am– 1pm CST, Monday to Friday.  This is to provide overlap with US working hours.  You can find out more about this during your interview conversation.

About the Business Systems team

The Business Systems Team implements and supports specialized applications that support our business processes within Upland Software.
We are directly responsible for all of Upland’s sales, customer success, accounting, and finance systems and enterprise applications integrations. We build and extend these applications to support the processes of our business partners and rationalize our application landscape to ensure it is optimized for efficiency and spend.
These internal-facing applications include a multitude of different applications and environments, including Salesforce, Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, Boomi, Catalyst, Xactly, UKG, etc.
Our Enterprise Applications team is made up of a combination of roles to best support the services we offer.
