How you’ll LEAD:

The Production Manager will oversee and manage physical product releases, with emphasis on the K-Pop genre from Ingrooves-distributed labels. Working alongside other Ingrooves team members, this high-velocity role manages the communication and details around the logistics of bringing these special, high-profile releases to market.  As many of the stakeholders are based in Korea, the role occasionally requires working off-hours, to align in part with the Korean business day.

The Production Manager, Special Projects reports to the VP of Commercial Strategy and is based in the US.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Manage new release and catalog production and sales details for all K-Pop products worldwide, liaising with label partners and UMG
  • Perform full inventory management, including inventory levels, product backorders, open orders and excess inventory levels
  • Manage new release manufacturing planning for special requested K-Pop products, including verifying bill of materials, proofing artwork and obtaining audio assets
  • Manage security issues around high-profile product movement
  • Product scheduling – enforcing the deadlines of the Product Development Schedule and making sure all releases are scheduled accordingly
  • Maintain asset information for key online retail partners
  • Fully manage the onboarding production and asset ingestion process for new labels and products
  • Provide rhythmic reporting to internal and external customers
  • Work closely with UMG/UML’s supply chain, inventory management and commercial partnership departments to ensure Ingrooves products are properly aligned with Universal guidelines
  • Provide outstanding customer service to Ingrooves label partners
  • Work on general market and special project (i.e. Record Store Day) production projects as needed

Bring your VIBE:

  • At least 3 years of music business experience and physical product supply chain knowledge
  • Advanced skills required in Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills – proactive, concise, polished, able to deal with varying personalities and levels
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a project deadline environment
  • Highly organized, meticulous about follow-up, deadline oriented, resourceful, innovative, problem fixer
  • Customer-service attitude, problem-solver mentality
  • Experience working with international CD product movement helpful
  • Bilingual Korean very helpful but not required
  • Willing to work off-peak hours to line up with Korean business day
