How we LEAD:

Reporting to the SVP Product Management - eCommerce, the Director of Product will join a team focused on promoting consumer engagement with UMG artists and driving new e-commerce revenue streams. This is a critical role, working with the eCommerce business, marketing, & engineering teams, to optimize and influence the definition of the product roadmap for all eCommerce activities at UMG. This is a newly created position, coming at a critical time, as UMG looks to upgrade and unify its eCommerce efforts globally. How you'll CREATE:

  • Function as a Global Product Manager for eCommerce at UMG; support the SVP in shaping the eCommerce platform strategy and build out capabilities to enable new and existing revenue streams
  • Ensure that back-end dependencies seamlessly support a top-notch customer experience – i.e., order fulfillment, billing etc. - work in harmony to deliver results
  • Support driving a frictionless purchasing experience, such as
  • Unifying the consumer journey and messaging across UMGs digital touch points to connect with prospects and customers, 
  • Partnering with UX & creative to optimize the end-to-end funnel across landing page, shopping, checkout and order fulfillment
  • Personalizing the products and services offered, and
  • Measuring the complete customer lifecycle
  • Constantly measure the customer feedback loop; ensure customer happiness and loyalty
  • Understand site performance and user behavior to enable business decision-making
  • Drive site analytics and reporting to understand drop-off, monitor cart abandonment, identify friction in checkout process, and improve site engagement to increase customer acquisition
  • Optimize product/category data and SEO/SEM performance
  • Manage sales, promotions, and new product launches across digital platforms
  • Install and manage Shopify app integrations to improve customer acquisition and retention
  • Collaborate with business owners and SMEs to define product backlog and prioritize features / solutions according to market value and business needs 
  • Work with Business Analysts and Technical Product Managers to translate the product vision into actionable stories a dev team can pick up
  • Stay current with the latest technology trends and provide feedback on vendors; identify and recommend partnerships and or acquisition opportunities to expand product capabilities and fill out our suite of services
Bring your VIBE:
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms:
  • 4-7+ years Product Owner / Product Management experience
  • 2+ years full product lifecycle experience managing revenue focused products within eCommerce or marketplace websites
  • Ability to collaborate with eCommerce, data and marketing stakeholders to understand and influence product strategy and roadmaps, aggregate and conceive ideas for enhancing product performance and achieving product success/KPIs.
  • Comfort in working closely with Engineering & Creative teams and have experience with Agile development:
  • Write high-level user stories for eCommerce products
  • Build and maintain a prioritized product backlog, with input from marketing managers, IS, and other business stakeholders. Effectively communicate prioritization decisions and the agile process to various teams
  • Partner with scrum teams on rollout and post-production support
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices and hands-on experience with:
  • eCommerce reporting tools
  • A/B testing platforms
  • Shopify ecommerce platform, including installing and customizing new Shopify themes, apps and API integrations
  • Experience in the music and / or entertainment industries
  • Passion to stay on the bleeding-edge of new technology and eCommerce strategies
