The position of Manager, Commercial Strategy is responsible for driving Ingrooves’ revenue growth strategy with key commercial partners in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia, including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, TikTok, and many more. The successful candidate will articulate and present exceptional knowledge of music consumption trends in the market. They will guide our label partners and internal teams on how best to market and monetize content in the Philippines. They are comfortable and knowledgeable discussing music as well as analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own, build, and manage relationships with existing and future key digital services in the region
  • Partner with labels and label managers to develop strategies for local key labels and projects to increase revenue from frontline and catalogue content
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on commercial and promotional activity within the market
  • Use insights and analytics from varied sources to discover and present opportunities to increase revenue, work cross-departmentally to action priorities from outside home markets
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on most current practices and strategies
  • Represent the Philippines in the international commercial strategy team, evaluate and support global workflow optimization
  • Be a leader and supportive colleague within the APAC region and beyond, and collaborate on global initiatives

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience within a label, distribution, DSP, or management company working with labels, managers, and artists
  • Significant relationship management experience, preferably in the music industry
  • Pre-existing contacts to local services/ DSPs, and the independent label and artist community
  • Collaborative, resourceful, positive, and organized
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of digital entertainment marketplace, industry trends, competitive landscape, differences among markets
  • Experience sourcing, interpreting, and presenting industry insights and analytics in the sales process
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a project deadline environment
  • Knowledge of digital distribution process and managing lead-times
  • A passion for all kinds of music, and passion for discovering what moves people to listen
  • We’re an international team; very good English skills are a huge plus
