We’re looking an individual with a leaning towards to join the amazing team here to create, deliver and manage outstanding marketing campaigns for the next chapter of Islands’ domestic & international releases. Working closely with artists, managers and the team at Island Records. Develop relationships and strategies to grow artists’ audiences and embed them with communities, online and offline.


The B Side: Skills and Experience


This unique role in the Audience Team will be responsible for Island’s Influencer marketing strategy and execution across the whole domestic and international roster as well as the point person and key relationship stakeholder with our social partners, including major social networks such as TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, other short form video platforms,  plus social publishers and channels such as LadBible, UMG’s Rebel Labs and YouTube channels and networks.

This will involve:

Influencer Marketing

  • Creatively approach the world of influencer marketing, partnering with talent that creatively spotlight our artist’s music and personalities
  • “Creator A&R” – full immersion in the world of social media, scouting new creative opportunities in the creator and influencer communities for our artists
  • Manage influencer marketing budgets and work with external influencer marketing agencies and freelancers to deliver campaigns with scale, particularly in the worlds of TikTok and YouTube
  • Manage large scale influencer campaigns via direct influencer commissioning
  • Work with the Marketing team to create and distribute gifting packages to key influencers, sports stars and celebrities
  • Host influencer and creator talent at Island events and gigs
  • Produce collaborative content involving our artists and creators
  • Measure success and report learnings regularly to the label
  • Educate the label to ensure fluency in influencer marketing across the floor
  • Look for commercial opportunities for our artists as Influencers


Social Partner Management

  • Responsible for pitching for profile, playlisting and amplification across the roster to social platforms that spotlight music, such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and other short form video platforms.
  • Pitch our artists for placement and content collaborations with large scale cross platform social publishers such as LadBible, Unilad and UMG’s in-house Rebel Labs network
  • Collaborate with social partners to deliver intricate marketing campaigns with our artists with rich content commitments



Person Specification


  • A creative individual who has experience of working in influencer marketing in entertainment (ideally within Music Industry)
  • Passionate about music, social media and the digital landscape
  • A driven networker with a constantly evolving address book
  • Existing relationships with social networks extremely desirable – existing influencer network essential
  • Experience of managing budgets and measuring value
  • Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business
  • Flexible and able to prioritise own workload
  • Tactful and diplomatic, especially when dealing with Artists and Management
  • Software experience with excel/Google sheets, plus Photoshop, video editing software such as Premiere a bonus
