Reporting to the Creative Director, this role will provide support to the Creative team and will contribute to a positive work environment with an emphasis on a ‘team’ concept. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, creative and energetic individual with a passion for music.

Responsibilities

  • Work with backend code, but a good knowledge of frontend code is essential
  • Work with and maintain databases (phpMyAdmin)
  • Create web tools that help both the marketing team and the company
  • Help code, as well as maintain Universal Music Canada’s brand sites & official artist sites
  • Other duties/projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge & experience MySQL, PHP, WordPress theme development, & JavaSricpt
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, Bootstrap framework, & other frontend technologies. REACT JS and Python are a big asset
  • Experience implementing APIs
  • Authentication & authorization experience
  • A general understanding of design aesthetics & functionality
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks & meet deadlines
  • Pro-active, resourceful, enthusiastic & passionate about web development, and have an extreme dedication to quality of execution as well as the desire to always be pushing the boundaries
  • Acute attention to detail, highly motivated & self-directed
  • Must be able to work in a MAC environment
