How we LEAD: 

For this role, we are looking for a Product Manager to work closely with our cross-functional teams to define, oversee, and execute a product vision and roadmap. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of e-Commerce technology and trends while being able to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutioning.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Engage with stakeholder groups including internal label clients, cross-functional team leads, operations, and marketing to capture business requirements
  • Work with development and technology teams to translate business requirements into user stories and technical requirements that will be used for delivery using an agile approach
  • Structure broad and complex solutions into manageable pieces that are aligned to phasing determined by business needs, including incremental rollout plans and iterative releases
  • Manage roadmaps for various audiences (e.g. executives, operations teams, development teams, etc.) that capture high-level business objectives, program-level initiatives & solutions, customer-oriented features, and architectural views
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all aspects of UMG’s eCommerce technology platform including
    • E-commerce Storefronts
    • Order management systems
    • Product management systems
    • Customer support systems
    • API integrations
    • Data warehousing and visualization tools
  • Actively engage with program/project managers and scrum masters to understand overall progress, identify risks, and jointly work towards problem-solving as needed
  • Provide tailored communication to multiple stakeholder groups covering a broad range of information, including:
    • Roadmaps & platform direction
    • Release notes on platform updates
    • Project/sprint level status updates and risks
  • Participate in scoping, planning, and expectation setting efforts as part of project/delivery teams 

Bring your VIBE:
  • 5+ years’ experience in e-commerce focused product manager or technical lead role
  • Experience providing services to internal clients in a large global media company
  • Experience working in an agile methodology
  • Working experience on hands-on end-to-end eCommerce solution preferred, preferably on a solution with multi-territory/global footprint
  • General product and program management related skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Shopify ecosystem
  •  Understanding of technology with enough depth to facilitate defining requirements, planning, guiding solution architecture, identifying/resolving interdependencies, and validating implementation across multiple components/layers: front & backend development, data warehousing, system design, e-commerce, and application development.
    • Highly organized
  • Good with tight timelines and strict deadlines
  • Ability to balance a wide range of near term, tactical priorities with longer-term, strategic needs
  • Good documentation skills highly desirable, particularly the ability to convey information in visual form
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated, takes initiative, and is looking to grow within the company
