Position Overview

UNIQLO Canada is looking to hire a Logistics specialist to be a leader on the logistics team as we continue to improve the infrastructure to support our growing retail business and E-commerce business. The successful candidate will manage PL day to day operations and continuous improvement of partner companies in fulfillment and transportations to support the growth of the business along with development of systems and procedures that enhance and standardize our operations. 

Key Responsibilities

·         Warehouse management for DC for retail and DC for E-commerce in terms of operation, service quality and PL

·         Transportation management for retail stores and E-commerce final mile delivery in terms of operation, service quality and PL

·         Import logistics management in terms of intra-Canada transportation process and intake volume forecasting for warehouse team and the other departments in Uniqlo Canada.

·         Inventory management for warehouse and any discrepancies caused in supply chain

·         Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met

·         Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements

·         Negotiate prices with service providers for warehouse operations and deliveries

·         Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping

·         Manage daily operational performance of partners making use of metrics and dashboards to ensure business objectives are supported

·         Actively work with final users including partner companies, IT, merchandising and allocation, and finance teams on understanding current processes, proposing enhancements and agreeing on expected 

Desired Skills and Experiences

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field

·         5+ years of experience in logistics

·         Professional knowledge and experience for retail logistics and e-commerce logistics, warehousing and distribution

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited structure and direct supervision

·         Familiarity with warehouse management system 

·         Experience leading initiatives using performance metrics in high performance environments

·         Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including cross-functional project management 

·         Experience interfacing with outside vendors

·         Strong analytical ability

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to drive results

·         Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite

·         Ability to travel within Canada, domestic travel to be expected

·         French language skill an asset
