About the Role:


The Financial investigations Department (FID) is seeking an experienced BSA compliance professional to execute the annual AML/CFT & Sanctions risk assessment, customer risk assessment (product/services, NAICS, country risk assessments), third-party relationships, and fraud risk. As a member of the FID Risk & Compliance team, the candidate will ensure the bank is meeting regulatory obligations and assume primary responsibility for maintaining risk assessment reporting, maintaining policies and procedures, and impact analysis for potential changes to the AML & Sanctions programs. The candidate must display the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and possess an understanding of applicable U.S. laws, specifically the Bank Secrecy Act. 

 

  • Lead the process to execute the banks AML/CFT & Sanctions risk assessment, including the facilitation of data collections, documentation of inherent risks, control effectiveness, and residual risks, and results through executive summaries, and detailed reports
  • Complete risk assessment updates as needed; control changes and rating, monitoring, testing, and issue mapping
  • Engage with key stakeholders including within FID, risk, compliance, and first line leaders to discuss business control functions and support qualitative/quantitative analysis for completion of the risk assessments
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the enterprise customer base, legal entities, products, services, transaction types, geographies, associated processes, controls, strategies, and ongoing business initiatives
  • Maintain a continuous improvement approach to the assessment framework, methodology, processes, and reporting.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in related Financial Services or Banking industry experience in AML/Sanctions Compliance, Risk, or Audit. Preferred
  • Strong AML, Sanctions, and KYC knowledge of tools and techniques employed in risk identification, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ability to independently work on multiple complex work efforts, which may involve working with a multitude of business units/key stakeholders or other risk professionals, with aggressive deliverables and deadlines
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts; including tools and techniques employed in risk identification, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting, industry best practices, and regulatory guidance.
  • Solid people skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization, particularly senior leaders within the department and in other related teams.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present complex information to a variety of different audiences.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft PowerBI, and knowledge of GRC systems helpful.
  • CAMS or CAFP Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, or Certified Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Professional. Willingness to Obtain. Preferred

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $59,000.00 - $100,000.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
